Reminder to update to your Google Analytics to GA4 before 1st July 2023

As some of you may have been notified, Google is transitioning to GA4 (Google Analytics 4) on the 1st of July 2023. This means all previously implemented UA (Universal Analytics) will then stop collecting data by then. See https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/11583528?hl=en for more information.

To ensure you keep collecting your data, you will need to have GA4 implemented on your marketplace. Visit https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/10759417?sjid=11702213432769580044-AP from Google to find out how you can switch across. If you visit the Google Analytics home page, you may also encounter a prompt to swap over if you already have a UA account.

See: https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/ and our updated guide on how to set this up yourself: Creating your Google Analytics Tracking Code

Once you have your GA4 set up, you can add it to your Tag Manager and implement it on the marketplace. See how here: Adding Google Tag Manager to your Marketplace

NOTE: That if you would like Ecommerce tracking, you will need to use a module to implement this. Omnyfy have a module that we can implement so that you can configure the site. Consult with your Omnyfy Support Manager to allow this module to be installed, and deployed - then the configuration can be set as per our guide here: Integrating Google Tag Manager (GA4) with a Module

If you are already on GA4 and are tracking correctly right now, then you will not need to action anything. If you have any queries, please contact your Omnyfy Support Manager for assistance.
