This update contains UI improvements for Fuse Store connections to improve stability, and a feature for selective/conditional sync for product attributes.
Added Large Store View
The Large Store Mapping View is a more stable implementation of the mapping interface. This is done by having each of the data mapping options as individual pages, to reduce load during the mapping process. You can see this option in the admin by navigating to Marketplace Management > Fuse > Manage Store Connections. There will be an option for you to select to use the new view (if it is not already active).
The difference will be noticeable when you choose the Select option from the Actions column, of a particular connected store.
Accessing any of these mapping/syncing options will now take you to a dedicated page specific for that configuration. Any previous data mapped will remain mapped and their layout will be the same - with the exception of Map Attribute and Options. Here, there will now be a grid for all available attributes, instead of all attributes and options appearing on one page like in the previous view.
Column | Notes |
Attribute Name | This is the attribute data pulled from the vendor's store. |
Mapped Status | There are 2 statuses:
- Mapped: This store attribute is mapped to a marketplace attribute in the system. Please note that this only displays if the attribute itself is mapped, not the attribute options. You will need to select Manage to view all attribute options.
- Un-mapped: This store attribute currently has no associated marketplace attribute mapped to it.
|
|
Mapped Attribute | If the Mapped Status is set to Mapped, this column will display the marketplace product attribute code that is mapped to this store attribute. |
Action | Select Manage to view the mapping view for this specific attribute (and attribute options if available). |
Mapping Specific Attributes will show only that attribute and available options.
Always Save Mapping when completed.
Selective / Conditional Sync
A new feature is available to allow Vendors and Marketplace Owners to choose specific product attributes to be synced on the marketplace. This means that you can enable some information to be mapped and imported from the store, while some are not updated or imported at all.
Accessing the Settings
General Product Attributes
In the Large Store Mapping View, the settings can be found in the dropdown from Actions > Select > Selective data mapping.
In the old view, it will still be in the Actions > Select > Map Data page, with a new tab called Selective data mapping.
Managing the general attributes
In this page you will see there are 2 groups of attributes.
- The first group will contain Price, Weight and Status. These are required for all products to be imported into the marketplace via Fuse. You will have 2 options:
- Always Sync: This will always update this product attribute if there are any changes from the original store it is importing it from.
- Create Once: This will import the data for this attribute during product creation only. After that, this attribute will no longer be synced from the original store, meaning that if any update was done from the original store, that will not reflect for this attribute if the product is already created. - The second group contains the Description, Short Description, Images, Special Price, and Meta data (such as Title, Description and Keywords). You will have 2 options:
- Always Sync: This will always update this product attribute if there are any changes from the original store it is importing it from.
- Do Not Sync: This will not import the data (even on creation).
Selective Sync on Other Attributes
Other attributes that you can choose the sync mode allow for options to Always Sync or Do Not Sync. These include:
Categories
Brands
Attribute Sets
Attributes (the attribute itself only, not the options)
Warehouses (Source Locations)
Ensure you select Save Mapping if you wish to make a change.
Resync All feature
Typically, all products are only updated in the system if there has been a change in the data from the import. The system checks this every 6 hours. Fuse now has the ability to allow Vendors or Marketplace Owners to Resync All Products from the Vendor's online store/system.
This will force the system to get all data from their store, into the marketplace.
NOTE: It should be noted that you should be wary when using this feature - depending on the volume of products, it may take a long time to update all the products from this vendor.
