Content Post - Overview

What can Content Posts be used for?

The Content Post feature allows Vendors and Marketplace Owners to create content for the marketplace, in the form of a post. Posts can include:
  1. Topical informational posts
  2. Regional updates posts
  3. Vendor updates posts
  4. Marketing and Promotions posts
  5. Hiring or Enquiry posts

These are some examples of what it can be used for.

As a Marketplace Owner, you can set up different content post types.

Different content types can also be accessed by vendors if needed. If a vendor creates a content post, you can also choose as an MO, to have this post require approval before posting. Vendors will only have the ability to add or edit a post.

The Structure of a Content Post

Content Posts offer a powerful solution to enable Marketplace Owners to create a well structure, categories post solution with Categories, Post Configurations, Custom Attributes - fields that can be completed by editors who are creating the post.

There are fundamentally two steps in creating a Content Post
1) Setting up the Post Type
2) Publishing Posts

Setting up Post Types

Setting up a Post Type includes the following steps
  1. Setting up Post Categories - the Taxonomy or structure under which posts will be published
  2. Post Types - Post Types define the configurations of the Post Type and dictate the content and presentation of the post. You can create multiple Post Types such as Blogs, Jobs, Projects, Galleries, Accommodation, Stories etc.
  3. Attributes - Attributes are custom fields that are filled in by the editor. For example an Event Post Type can have attributes such as Event Location, Start Day and Time, Duration, Ticket Price, Hosted by, etc.
  4. Attribute Sets - An Attribute Set groups several Attributes together  - in the above example, the different Event Attributes will be grouped into an Attribute Set called "Event Attributes"
