Omnyfy v4 (there is no v3) is a step up from v2, with new features, but also some slight changes to the existing system. The majority of the core remains the same, however you can see below where there are changes to the upgrade, and if it's the right fit for you.
Core Changes
> Inventory Management
The biggest change to the core platform in v4 is how you would manage the inventory of a product. In v4, we change from using locations - to now using sources. Sources are managed from Stores > Sources, and you will be able to set up multiple sources per vendor. Inventory can now also be adjusted within the product page itself.
This eliminates the extra steps for adding products to a location in v2. The quantity field is now on a per source management as seen above all in the product edit page. In V4, the Locations and Warehouses option is removed.

> Content Posts
In Omnyfy v4, we have replaced the CMS blog module with the new Content Posts module. This module allows you to create different post types (eg latest news, recruitment, or industry specific tips) that can be controlled by the Marketplace Owner and Vendor. Vendor managed posts will give flexibility on the content uploaded, that will not necessarily need the Marketplace Owner to create the content themselves.

> Optimised Configurations
With the upgrade allowed a chance to reflect on some of the fields in the vendor configuration. We have removed unnecessary / unused fields in the Vendor configuration, Sign Up Plan creation, and other modules with new features.
> Updated Invoice PDF templates for Vendors and Vendor Payouts
The PDF templates now include a more detailed view, in both order invoices and also payout invoices to provide vendors with all the information they need.
> Improved Product Import Process
You can now easily import your products on one sheet, rather than needing 2 (which included locations). Sources can now be added on the same import sheet as the product information, so you can upload the product inventory together.

Additional Features (only available in v4)
> Dashboard Banner Tiles
Administrators and Vendors on the platform can now have shortcuts to regularly visited pages upon logging in to the back end of the platform. This allows vendors especially, to not have to search through all navigation menu items on the left, thus streamlining the process for product creations, quote responses and even vendor onboarding/profile management.
> B2B Functionalities
Omnyfy also offers a complete suite of modules for dealing with B2B marketplaces. This allows your regular customer registration, to now be managed as an organisation. Organisations will be able to have a company manager, who can then control the customer's orders and ability to purchase on the marketplace. This includes Buyer Terms, Credit Limits, Customer Price Books and more.

> Vendor Shipping Options
Vendor Shipping Options is a new feature only for Omnyfy v4, that essentially upgrades the shipping management experience for both customers and vendors. In this case, vendors will be able to manage their own shipping rules without having to have the Marketplace Owner to create these on their behalf.
