How can I see all Orders from a certain Vendor?

How can I see all Orders from a certain Vendor?

For this you will need to create an advanced report as there is no filter on the Orders Grid by Vendor.

First, create a copy of an existing Orders report from Reports > Advanced Reports > Reports.

Once here, you can create a copy of the Orders, by selecting from the top dropdown, the Orders option.

Once the Orders view is selected and the page has loaded, from the right side, select the 3 dots and select Make a copy.

You will have created a new Untitled Report. Simply select the 3 dots again on the right side, and this time, choose Edit report.

This will give you an interface where you can modify your custom report. Here you can rename the report, and make necessary adjustments if needed. Change the name to something meaningful and you can also customise the columns and how the report is handled.

There are 2 ways you can choose to filter:
  1. Saved Internal Filter
You can select an internal filter at the bottom to filter this report for a specific vendor. You will need to add the Vendor ID (this would fall under advanced). Search for "vendor" and you will see sales_order_item|vendor_id.

Apply this, and set the formula to "==" and insert the Vendor ID of the vendor you wish to filter by.

    Then Save.

  2. Ad-hoc Filter
You can include the attribute sales_order_item|vendor_id as a column or dimension. This will allow you to just render the table without restrictions of a certain vendor. Then once saved, you can use the filter from the top bar to search the specific vendor.

NOTE: You can also use vendor_entity|name as an alternative filter, though it will need to match the name completely for the report to work (including case sensitive, and special characters).

Ensure you modify and update your other columns to match - as  some of these columns are based on a total, rather than per vendor. Review the Managing Filters and Attributes for Custom Reports guide for further information.
