Setting up your Google Maps Account

Google will be able to provide you with an API that will allow you to connect your Marketplace with a variety of Google Services, including Maps. Maps can be used for location verification for vendors when they create their locations.


First you will need to be registered with a Google Account. To start using any of the Google Services, you will need to also input a credit card.

Get started here: https://console.cloud.google.com/google/maps-apis/start

When setting up, you may see the following - go through the settings and input the relevant details. Here's our example:









Select the options that apply and choose "Submit".




You will then be able to get the API key. You can ignore the demo if you don't need it. Once you register, and input your details, you should be able to see a dashboard like so:
