Project Bidding - Managing Project Types
Creating Project Types (as a Marketplace Owner)
Project Types in the Project Bidding module can be considered as categories. Registered Customers can have a much more tailored project creation experience based on their selection. Marketplace Owners can choose to include any additional fields (Custom Questions) for Customers to answer, so they may provide vendors with more details for the project request. Meanwhile, Vendors can also select their preference to which Project Type they offer when customers are searching for Project Bidders. Vendors will not appear in Project Invitations for Project Types they do not offer.
To create and manage Project Types, you will need to be logged in as a Marketplace owner.
- Log in as a Marketplace Owner in the back end.
- Go to Marketplace Management > Bidding Configuration > Project Types.
- Here you will see tree directory of the Project Types available on the marketplace.
- There are 2 tiers for Project Types:
- Primary Project Type : This is the Root Project Type, used as the base from where to create the 1st level Project Types. The Root Project Type is always the Parent Project Type for the marketplace.
Note: If you have multiple marketplaces in the same Omnyfy installation, you can configure to have different Root Types per marketplace.
- Sub Project Type : These are child levels. These are project types that customers can select. You can have 2 levels of Sub Projects that customers can select from. The 1st level is created from as a sub project type from the root type. The 2nd level is a sub project type from the 1st level, and completely optional.
See example below:
- To create a new Project Type, you must first select from one of the following buttons.
