Creating Vendor Shipping options as vendors (v4 only)

Accessing the Vendor Shipping Options

After each vendor is approved in the Marketplace and created their Store Front and Sources, their Shipping Options can be created. Shipping Options are set up in Marketplace Management > Vendor Shipping.

Each vendor will only have access to their own Omnyfy Vendor Shipping options, and the Marketplace Owner is able to see all. In this grid, you can see: Name, Description, Type, Source, Vendor Name, Active and the Action button. A filter can also be used to find a specific Vendor Shipping.

To create a new Shipping option, click the Add New Vendor Shipping button.



Creating a new Vendor Shipping Option - Delivery

When adding a new Vendor Shipping Option, you will see groups of configuration for each shipping option, that can be finely tailored for different parameters.

General Configuration

Is Active
Sets if this Vendor Shipping Option can already be used as an option for customers. Set this to Yes to enable this option.
Shipping Option Name
Specify the title of the shipping option. It will be displayed on the admin grid and cart/checkout for customers.
Shipping Option Description
Specify a description for the shipping option. It will be displayed on the grid and cart/checkout for customers.
Shipping Option Type
The delivery method to be used in the option.

NOTE: For Omnyfy Vendor Shipping Phase 1, only Delivery is available.

Options: Delivery / Click & Collect (to be released at a later stage)
Source
Determines which source is this Vendor Shipping rule should be assigned to. Vendors can only see their own Sources. Marketplace Owner can see all the Sources.

Delivery Option Price

Source Price Type
Determines the basis which the price will be calculated.
Options: Source Total Weight / Source Total Price

If using Source Total Weight, the price will be calculated based on the total weight of products combined in this option

If using Source Total Price, the price will be calculated based on the total price of products combined in this option

Delivery Option Price
Enable the creation of tier price for shipping based on the Source Price Type.

Minimum: Sets the minimum weight/price to apply the tier shipping price to
Maximum: Sets the maximum weight/price to apply the tier shipping price to
Price: Sets the shipping price customer will pay if the total weight/price is the one determined in this row
Actions: Deletes the row
Add Row: Adds a new row

Important: The shipping fee tax follows the tax configuration from the platform (inclusive/exclusive of tax)
Free Shipping Threshold
Sets the amount a customer must spend before you offer free shipping. Otherwise, leave this field blank.


Source Price Type: By Weight

When selecting the Source Price Type = Source Total Weight, the minimum and maximum amounts on the tier rows will follow the marketplace configuration for weight unit. In the example below:
  1. Shipping price will be calculated based on products weight
  2. When a customer adds products to cart from the sources selected for this Shipping rule
    1. If the combination of all products weight is between 0 and 5kg, the customer will pay A$10 shipping fee
    2. If the combination of all products weight is between 0 and 10kg, the customer will pay A$13 shipping fee
    3. If the combination of all products weight is higher than 10kg, the customer will pay A$20 shipping fee
    4. If the total products price is higher than A$150, the customer gets free shipping 


Source Price Type: By Price

When selecting the “Source Price Type” = Source Total Price, the minimum and maximum amounts on the tier rows will follow the marketplace configuration for currency unit. In the example below:
  1. Shipping price will be calculated based on products price
  2. When a customer adds products to cart from the sources selected for this Shipping rule
    1. If the combination of all products price is between A$0 and A$50, the customer will pay A$11 shipping fee
    2. If the combination of all products weight is between A$50 and A$150, the customer will pay A$7 shipping fee
    3. If the total products price is higher than A$150, the customer gets free shipping

Tip:
  1. To select all, please click the first, hold Shift and click the last
  2. To select a few specific from list, please click the first option to be selected, hold Command (for Mac) or Ctrl (for Windows), then select the next option required
Important: After selected, please click outside the form so the Region field can be updated based on the country selected

Region
Please select all regions this delivery option applies to. If there are no limitations, please select all regions.
City
If you are shipping to all cities, please leave this blank. If you are shipping only to specific cities, please enter a comma separated list.
Post Code
If you are shipping to all post codes, please leave this blank. If you are shipping only to specific post codes, please enter a comma separated list.

Here is an example of the shipping area configuration. This shipping option is going to be offered to customers that are shipping in Australia, Victoria with the post codes for only 3000 or 3004. If the customer has any other country, region or post code, this option will not show for them.



After inputting all options, select Save at the top right of the page.



Front End Customer View

Product Page

Customer will be able to set their delivery address on the product page.



Based on the delivery address, customer will be able or not to add the product to cart, depending on the rules set on the Vendor Shipping Options. If the product is available to deliver to the address, the address will then be saved in their session, and customers can then continue to add the product to the shopping cart.



If the product is not available, it will show a message and the Add to Cart button will remain inactive from selection.



Shopping Cart/Checkout Page

The image below shows the customer view on shopping cart and checkout, for the shipping options.

  1. This is the Shipping Option Title. See the Shipping Options configuration where this is managed for each option.
  2. This is the Shipping Option Description. See the Shipping Options configuration where this is managed for each option.
  3. This is the Shipping Option Price. This will be based on the weight, price or location depending how the option has been configured..
  4. This shows Free Shipping, as the customer reached the free shipping threshold for this shipping option. Example: Standard Delivery
  5. This shows another shipping option that customer can choose, when the customer has not yet reached the free shipping threshold for this shipping option. Example: Express Delivery
