Creating and Verifying your Escrow account via checkout (For Customers Only)
Account Creation
As a customer, you can create your own Escrow account during the checkout process on the marketplace. When selecting Escrow as the payment method (and you aren't signed in to Escrow already), you will be taken to the Escrow website to complete your details. You will also see what product you have as part of the transaction at the top of the page. Simply create your account, and follow the verification process.
If you already have a login and are verified already, you can log in instead and go straight to the payment method.
Payment Method selection
Select a payment method and choose Continue payment. If you have already configured your payment methods previously, you can go directly to the Complete Payment page.
Adding your payment method
If you haven't added your payment details (such as your credit card information), you can add them on this step. Depending on the payment method you used, it will vary what fields and verification will be needed for the payment.
Select Continue when ready to proceed.
Customer Verification
If you hadn't already verified your account previously, then you will need to provide your personal information to Escrow for them to validate your account.
Once you complete this page, select Continue.
The next step will be validating your personal details ID and Address. Depending on the type of document you upload, you can also choose to do a single document that will verify both ID and address. Upload the file, and select the tickbox "The uploaded file shows my current address".
The next step is similar to the Marketplace Owner/Vendor step, in which you must provide a document that verifies your account. Depending on your country, you may have different fields for the verification methods.
Ensure you also select the tickbox "I consent to verifying my identity as outlined in the privacy policy.". This will prevent you from selecting Next if you do not tick this.
Complete Payment Page
Once you have completed and successfully verified your details, you will then be taken to the Payment page to complete your transaction.
Ensure you select the tickbox below to agree to the terms and conditions, privacy policy and general Escrow instructions. You will not be able to complete your transaction if you do not select this.
Select Agree & Pay on the bottom right of the page to finalise the transaction.
Success Page
Once you complete your transaction successfully, you will be taken to the success page.
IMPORTANT. You must select the button at the bottom to return to the marketplace. This is required to send the payment confirmation to the marketplace.
Redirecting back to the Marketplace
Once you've returned to the marketplace, you will be taken to the marketplace order success page. This will generally contain your order number and allow you to continue shopping if needed, or review your customer account.
