Creating and Verifying your Escrow Account from the Escrow Website

Creating and Verifying your Escrow Account from the Escrow Website

Creating an Escrow Account

Signing up from the Escrow Website

An Escrow account is needed in order to be able to manage, or transact with Escrow. This applies to customers, marketplace owners and vendors on the platform. There are 3 types of roles (from Escrow) an account can be during a transaction - which is Broker, Seller or Buyer.

Broker = Marketplace Owner
Seller = Vendor on the marketplace
Consumer/Buyer = Customer buying products from the marketplace

All accounts in Escrow can undertake any of the above roles, depending on the transaction. In our integration, this is already handled automatically, so you will not need to worry about choosing anything specific.

Marketplace Owners must create their accounts through the website first. Customers or Vendors can create their accounts when an order is placed (an email notification will be sent) or pre-emptively through the website.

To create an escrow account, you can visit the escrow website directly:

For Sandbox, use this URL: https://www.escrow-sandbox.com/

Upon visiting the home page, you can see the Signup button on the top right.

Clicking on the Signup button will take you to the signup page where you can input your details.

As a vendor, the e-mail address you sign up with in Escrow MUST MATCH the e-mail address you are using on the marketplace.

Once you submit to create your account, an e-mail verification will be sent, and you will be taken to the next screen. The next screen will display a Start Transaction screen, however this is not needed to complete your account, and you can ignore this completely. You can also see (if you haven't verified your e-mail yet, or seen the verification e-mail in your inbox) that there is a Verify email address notice at the top bar.

Below is what the Verification Email will look like. Simply click on Verify your email address to verify this..

Once the e-mail address is verified, you will see a successful verification confirmation screen.

From here, you can continue to verify your account, or (if you are a customer) go through the checkout process with your Escrow account, and verify your account during the checkout process.

Creating an Escrow account via a marketplace completed transaction (for Vendors only)

Vendors who have not yet created an Escrow account, can create their account during the first order - the account will automatically be created for you when checkout has completed.

When you receive this notification, and choose Complete your Registration, you will be taken to the Escrow website to register your account (as above). From here you can then continue to verify your account.

You will not need to verify your e-mail, as this will already be verified during this process.

It is important to note that during the checkout process, Omnyfy will send your vendor e-mail to Escrow. If you change your e-mail in one, you MUST immediately change it in the other - or it will treat it as a separate Escrow account if your vendor and escrow e-mails are different.

Escrow Account Verification (for Marketplace Owner and Vendors)

Consumers/Buyers can also use this step if they would like to create and verify their Escrow account before checking out of the marketplace, however the Marketplace Owners and Vendors need to complete this through the Escrow site.

Once you have verified the your e-mail, and are logged into your account in Escrow, you can select Get Verified from the Escrow account main menu.

You can also select this from the top right account dropdown when logged in. Choose Verify My Account as seen below.

Once you get to the verification page, you can input your basic information. Based on your Account Type, and the country you select, your methods of verification will vary.

When you are finished with your basic details, choose Next, at the bottom of the page. This will take you to the next step of verification (depending on your details). The example below is for an Australian company.

Depending on your verification method, the fields will vary for the documentation requirements

Once you send this through, Escrow will confirm your details. If successful, you can will be taken to your personal details page where you can see that you have been verified.
